FLIGHT INFORMATION
Aspen Airport
Weather Issues: If you have a direct flight into Aspen from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix and they can’t land in Aspen, your flight will usually be diverted to Grand Junction or Eagle and the airline will provide shuttle service to Aspen Airport. If you are flying through Denver they will not divert the Denver to Aspen flights and they usually reschedule them for a later flight or the next day. If they can’t re-book you into Aspen in a timely fashion, you should try to get to Eagle or Grand Junction and book ground transportation from there. We don’t recommend driving from Denver as it can take up to 9 hours with traffic during bad weather.
Ground Transportation
The best option is to fly directly into Aspen Airport, located 4 miles from Aspen downtown with free ground transportation to most airports or there are taxis available. There are additional regional airports including Eagle/Vail (EGE) or Grand Junction (GJT). You would need to book a car service, shuttle or car rental from those airports. https://www.aspensnowmass.com/visit/getting-here
Be sure to confirm you flight info with your hotel concierge. Both Limelight Aspen (970-925-1028) and St. Regis Aspen (970-920-3300) provide a complimentary RT shuttle for all flights, from the airport to the hotel.
If you prefer private ground transportation from Aspen or Grand Junction - we recommend Aspen Luxury Limo.
