Aspen Getting Here

Aspen Flight and Ground Transportation Information

Flying to Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE)
The best option is flying directly into Aspen. There are direct flights into the Aspen airport on United, Delta and American Airlines from several major cities including Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Houston and Dallas. The majority of flights each day arrive from Denver. The airport is located about 4 miles from the city of Aspen, and most hotels provide complimentary airport transfers or taxis are available. As soon as you land at the Aspen Airport, located just 10 minutes from downtown, call your hotel (Hotel Jerome - 970-920-1000) or (Limelight Hotel - 970-925-3025) and they will be there in 10-15 min. to pick you up with their complimentary shuttle. http://www.aspenairport.com/

Flying to Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE)
Flying into Vail/Eagle is another option with more airlines to choose from including United, Delta, American, Air Canada and more direct flights from major cities. However, you will need to rent a car or book a shuttle through Colorado Mountain Express. It's about a one and a half hour drive to Aspen. http://www.eaglecounty.us/airport/

Flying to Grand Junction (GJT)
Grand Junction's Walker Field offers a western slope alternative to the busy Aspen, Eagle and Denver International Airports. Located on the western edge of Colorado, 125 miles and 2 hours from Aspen, Walker Field is an excellent alternative during busy times of year, and is a shorter drive than Denver International. You will have to rent a car or book a shuttle through Colorado Mountain Express. http://www.gjairport.com

Flying to Denver International Airport (DIA)
The largest and most active airport in the Rocky Mountain region is located 220 miles from Aspen/Snowmass.  But keep in mind that DIA is approximately 4 hours from Aspen by car so you will need to either rent a car or book a shuttle.    More than 1,700 daily flights are offered into DIA from more than 80 cities on 17 airlines, including international nonstop service.  Most rental car companies service DIA or shuttles to Aspen are available through Colorado Mountain Express. http://www.flydenver.com/

Transportation in Town
Aspen is a very pedestrian friendly town and unless you are driving into town, you will most likely not need a car for the weekend. All the wedding events will be within walking distance from your hotel.  Many hotels provide complimentary transportation within Aspen and there is a free shuttle bus system for the Aspen/Snowmass area.  http://www.rfta.com/
